Workshop 201: Cold Processed Soapmaking with Goat’s Milk, Herbs, and Botanicals

65.00 – Includes all equipment and materials – Bring home a loaf of 8 bars of soap that YOU make! There is a small sale tax charge for materials. Prerequisite: Ashgrove Workshop 101 – Introduction to Cold Processed Soapmaking.
Aged 18+
Workshop 201: Instruction for techniques to make cold processed goat’s milk soap with herbs and botanicals. In this session, you will make a loaf of 8 bars of soap. We will discuss using a variety of “milks” and how they interact within cold processed soaps. In addition, you will learn how to infuse herbs and botanicals in oils and make an oil infusion to bring home.
Notebook and handouts included.

Preparation:
Wear old clothes, bring a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, closed-toe shoes and tie your hair back.
Bring a brown bag lunch and drink.
To bring home soaps, bring two large brown paper grocery bags (or 14 x 14 x 14 cardboard box) and old 4 bath sized towels.
We provide all of the equipment and supplies for the workshop including goggles and gloves. If you prefer your own goggles and gloves, bring them. Students must be age 18 or older.
* If you wish to make an additional loaf of soap or two (each loaf contains 8 bars), please email Lori when you register. Each additional loaf of soap is 32.00 (4.00 per bar).

Cancellation Policy – All workshops require payment upon registration. Materials for workshops are prepared a week in advance. For cancellation, email or call up to 7 days before the event for a refund or to apply registration fees towards a future workshop.
